Since 2012, Das Hund Haus has been Lakeland, FL’s premier pet care provider, offering a variety of services to benefit both you and your pet. Built on a foundation of education and expert dog training, everything we do is aimed at supporting your strongest bond and happiest life together. Under one roof, we provide quality dog boarding, doggie daycare, dog grooming, and dog training as well as cat boarding and exotic pet boarding. Whatever your pet care needs, you can expect exceptional service and loving care at our family-owned, safe, and reliable local pet resort.
Behind The Name
Enticed by the German language and its contributions to the dog world, our owner Jill Wallace chose a name for her pet resort that stands out among the rest: Das Hund Haus. Literally translated, it means “The Dog House.” As a German Shepherd is known to the world for its hard work ethic, loyalty, and intelligence, Das Hund Haus was founded on core values of education, fitness, and quality service.
About Our Owner
Jill Wallace is a lifelong pet lover and accomplished dog trainer with more than 20 years of experience. Das Hund Haus is a natural extension of Jill’s unwavering devotion to pets—and the people who love them. She opened Das Hund Haus in 2012 out of a desire to improve the lives of pets and their families through quality care, resources, and services. Jill shares her life with a cast of characters including dogs, cats, and birds—including a number of permanent residents from her sanctuary work who call Jill’s home their own.
Until Such Time Sanctuary
Until Such Time is a nonprofit animal sanctuary founded and operated by our owner, Jill Wallace. Its mission is to support rescued dogs, including those with complex behavioral/medical needs. With compassionate care and expert guidance, the sanctuary provides loving care, training, and a place to stay for pups waiting to find their forever home. Until such time, they find their home here.
