Cat Boarding FAQ
What vaccinations are required for cat boarding?
To keep our feline guests safe and healthy, we require proof of current vaccinations for rabies, feline leukemia, and FVRCP. However, we defer to your veterinarian’s recommendations for vaccination protocols—if your vet has advised against a certain vaccine, please call us to discuss.
Does my cat need to be spayed/neutered?
Cats who aren’t spayed or neutered are more than welcome to stay with us at Das Hund Haus.
Should I bring my cat’s food?
To keep them on the diet they’re used to, we ask you please bring your cat’s usual food in individually labeled zipper baggies or small containers. We’ll provide daily feedings per your instructions and, if needed, we do have high-quality cat food available for a small charge per meal.
Should I bring bedding and toys?
Your cat will have plenty of toys in their accommodation as well as soft, clean bedding, so there’s no need to bring any from home. You’re welcome to bring a few personal items clearly labeled with your pet’s name, but while we always do our best to protect your items, we can’t guarantee they won’t be damaged or lost.
Are reservations required for cat boarding?
We do require reservations for cat boarding to ensure we have the right number of staff scheduled for our furry guests every day. If you need last-minute accommodations, please call us and we’ll see how we can help.
When can I drop off and pick up my cat?
You’re welcome to drop off and pick up any time during our lobby hours, which are 9 am to 5 pm every day of the week. We may be able to accommodate off-hours pick-up and drop off for a small fee, but please call us ASAP so we can make arrangements.
Do you provide long-term cat boarding?
Yes, your cat is welcome to stay with us for extended periods. Please call us to discuss your pet’s long-term cat boarding stay.
Can you give my cat his/her medications?
Yes, we’re able to give oral and topical medications for a small additional fee. Please make sure all medications are clearly labeled with your pet’s name and provide clear instructions.
