Benefits of Professional Dog Grooming

Aside from a fresh look and sweet scent, professional dog grooming benefits your pet’s life in several invaluable ways. Here’s why dog grooming is such an essential part in every pup’s wellness routine.

  • Skin & Coat Health: We use professional-grade products to gently lift trapped dirt and debris from the coat and skin. This promotes better skin health while leaving your pet’s coat moisturized, nourished, and shiny. A clean coat doesn’t just look great, it feels better for your pet and supports their health.
  • Mat Prevention: Certain coat types require regular brushing to stay tidy and tangle-free. Our professional tools and expert techniques help remove trapped fur from the inner coat layers. This goes a long way in reducing or preventing matting, which can be uncomfortable and even painful for dogs.
  • Paw Care: Like human nails, dog nails grow continuously and to the point of detriment if they aren’t regularly maintained. Keeping your pet’s nails at a healthy length prevents painful splitting and tearing while promoting better joint health, posture, and overall comfort.
  • Shed Reduction: A thorough brush-out at the dog groomer removes a significant amount of loose fur, preventing it from shedding all over your clothes, furniture, and floors. Pet parents who bring their dog for routine grooming often experience far fewer “tumbleweeds” and less reliance on the lint roller. Try a de-shed treatment for maximum shed reduction!

Dog Grooming FAQ

What vaccinations are required for dog grooming?

To keep our facility safe and healthy for all, we require proof of vaccination for rabies, distemper/parvo (DHPP), and Bordetella. If your veterinarian recommends a medical exemption for any of these vaccinations, please give us a call to discuss.

Are appointments required?

To ensure appropriate wait times and service speed, we do require reservations for most dog grooming and bathing services. Walk-ins may be accommodated for nail trims and other certain services depending on availability but cannot be guaranteed. Please call ahead whenever possible.

What are your grooming salon hours?

Our dog grooming salon is open during our usual lobby hours, from 9 am to 5 pm every day.

Can you give my dog a specific haircut or style?

We’re happy to provide the haircut of your choice, and we’re experienced in everything from breed classics to custom looks. We’ll discuss your vision for your pet’s perfect style when you call to make your appointment and are happy to answer any questions you may have.

What kind of products do you use?

We use high-quality, pet-specific shampoos and conditioners in a range of formulations. Deep conditioning, coat whitening, hypoallergenic, seasonal scents, and medicated options are available, among others.

Can you groom my puppy?

Yes! It’s highly beneficial to bring your puppy for their first groom or bath early in life to get them familiar with the process, environment, and handling. We treat our puppy guests with the utmost patience and compassion to build positive associations. To receive grooming/bathing, puppies should have their complete series of puppy vaccinations, including Bordetella.

Can I add grooming/bathing to another service?

Absolutely! We’d love to send your pup home fresh, clean, and beautiful. Many pet parents take advantage of our on-site dog grooming salon, adding a bath or groom to their pet’s boarding or daycare visit. Please call us to add grooming or bathing to your pet’s reservation.
