Every dog is a unique individual with their own personality and play style. That’s why dog boarding at Das Hund Haus isn’t a “one-size-fits-all” program. We have a selection of fun-filled activity packages, letting pet parents choose the ideal exercise and enrichment for their furry loved ones. - Group Playtime: If you have a social pup, they’ll love to romp and roam with four-legged friends chosen just for them. Between our 6 outdoor yards and spacious indoor play area, there’s tons of fun to be had no matter the weather or time of year. Multiple highly trained staff members supervise every playgroup as the dogs run, explore the playground equipment, and—in the warmer months—splash around in the kiddie pools.
- Personal Playtime: Does your dog prefer one-on-one attention from a human friend? We’ve got them covered! We’re happy to provide personalized play and enrichment sessions with a loving caregiver. Your dog will get all the exercise, stimulation, and undivided attention they crave at their own pace and comfort level.
- Puppy Fun: Have you recently welcomed a puppy into your family? We provide specialized care to our puppy guests with an activity package created for their needs. Dog Boarding FAQ
Is my dog ever left alone?
Never. Our pet care team is on-site 24/7, 365. Our commitment to your pet goes all the way around the clock, so rest assured that qualified caregivers are always nearby.
What vaccines are required for dog boarding?
To keep our guests safe and protected, we require proof of up-to-date vaccinations for rabies, Bordetella, and distemper/parvo (DHPP). We defer to your veterinarian regarding immunity status and vaccination protocol—if your vet has advised against certain vaccinations, please call us to discuss.
Do you require reservations for dog boarding?
To ensure we always have the right number of staff on hand to provide safe play and plenty of interaction, we require reservations for dog boarding. If you need dog boarding on short notice, please don’t hesitate to call us and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
Should I bring my dog’s food?
Please bring your dog’s usual food to keep them on the diet they’re used to, with each serving labeled and bagged individually in zipper baggies or small containers. If your dog runs out of food or it’s otherwise needed, we can provide Victor Professional for a small fee per meal.
Can I bring toys or bedding from home?
We have more than enough toys and bedding to go around, so there’s no need to bring any from home. Toys and bones are sanitized daily, and bedding is regularly laundered. However, you’re welcome to bring a few labeled personal items for your pet. While we’ll make every effort to protect your pet’s personal items, we can’t guarantee they won’t be lost or damaged.
My dog isn’t spayed/neutered. Can they still come to Das Hund Haus?
Absolutely—intact pets are welcome to stay with us, including females in season. However, we’re not able to lodge pregnant dogs for their own safety.
Do you accept all breeds?
Yes! Das Hund Haus is open to every breed, and we love them all equally.
When can I drop off/pick up my dog?
You’re welcome to drop off and pick up any time during our lobby hours. We may be able to make special arrangements for off-hours drop-off or pick-up for an additional fee, especially if plenty of advance notice is provided. Our lobby hours are 9 am to 5 pm every day of the week.
What are the age requirements for dog boarding?
Puppies can stay with us as soon as their veterinarian deems them of age to receive the Bordetella vaccination. We have limited space available for puppies under 16 weeks as they are lodged in a separate area and require additional staffing. Please contact us ASAP if you need puppy boarding for a pet under 16 weeks old.
Many senior pets call Das Hund Haus their second home, but we may consult with your veterinarian to determine if we’re the right fit for your pet. Please call us if your dog is over 12 years old so we can discuss their care needs and schedule extra staff.
Do you offer long-term dog boarding?
Yes, we’re happy to accommodate long-term dog boarding stays. Please call us for more information.
Do you require flea/tick preventatives?
Das Hund Haus is a flea-free facility, and we require our dog boarding guests to be on preventive treatments. If needed, we can administer Capstar for an additional fee.
Can you give my dog his/her medications?
Yes, we’re happy to provide topical and oral medications for a small fee per dose. For pets who take frequent or multiple medications, we recommend our TLC Package, which includes unlimited medication administration.
